Fornelle district and alleys of poetry

In the historic centre, in the Fornelle district, there is a street art route through alleys and stairways punctuated by verses. They are the alleys of poetry, suggestive, colourful, exciting. Many of the poems are by Alfonso Gatto, a twentieth-century poet born in Salerno, but there are also poems and verses by more or less well-known artists (even Jim Morrison). In particular, some are written on the ceiling of underpasses in a circular manner, so that to read them you have to turn around, causing a strong dizziness!

It is located along Via Portacatena, from there some alleys develop including Vicolo S. Trofimena, reachable on foot from any point of the historic center
